Happy Thanksgiving 2008 Tablescape

Happy Thanksgiving to my readers. I'm posting early so you get a sneak peak of my tablescape this year. It will just be me and my 2 younger girls this year, so it's all about simplicity seating, but fit for princesses! It's set using all white with a touch of blue. I hate ironing so lets hope the wrinkles in the table cloth flatten out by tommorow night! I was hoping it wouldn't show up on camera.... but to no avail it did.

I spray painted my old orange pumkins white and did a vase of white ostrich feathers to relax the setting and give a shabby look.

Glorious Blush Wall - Air Space

I can't tell what is the treatment on the wall shown here? Is it wallpaper or paint? Well either way it is fabulous. It looks like a blush pink thats faded out over time! Or is it tan blush? I want it. I have seen alot of photos lately with sueded velvety walls. It's so vintage looking.....

Jan Showers & Associates Design Firm

I havn't been posting much lately because I've been spending the extra time that I have to search for things to buy like an iphone, yorkie, coton de tulear, etc. or working on other projects. But I must share the photos below that I just came across. They are the work of Jan Showers. Soooo Glamorous! I'm not sure if it's the furniture or the paint colors that draws me to them. I have close to the same dining chairs (Louis XVI in Linen) and also am using a sunburst mirror in my entry, so yes I like her style, but I would love to paint my home those wonderful grey colors. Right now I still have the builders tan throughout, and I am sooo bored with it. Almost forgot -- check out the black oval mirror shown in the reflection of the first photo and also the custom wood flooring in the second photo! Enjoy....

Latest Craft Project

Here is a little project I just completed:

Before: dark and dated

And after.

I used mod podge on new prints from Michaels to give them texture, then put a sealant on both the print and the newley painted frames, so they can handle the powder room. That was a fun and fast craft project.
