Annie Brahler of Euro Trash

I have wanted to do a post on Annie Brahler's home in Jacksonville, Illinois for a long long time and since I'm on a roll today here it is! Her home is actually a landmark and is called the William Howard Thompson House. Annie owns an import company called Euro Trash and from the looks of her home, she's got some good access! I absolutely love her style with all the french pieces and soft colors, and just look at her Christmas mantels! The pictures below are from www.countryliving.com and also from Mary Engelbreit's www.homecompanionmag.com.

Bliss Linens Pure Luxury

As Romantic Homes magazine's March 2008 issue states - IF HEAVEN HAD A SHOP IT WOULD BE BLISS!

The first time I saw pictures of this shop I was floored! There is almost no words to describe the talent with the way they mix the old and new. It may sound funny but after seeing their shop in Romantic Homes Magazine and the below photos from their site, I actually went around my home tossing everything that didn't belong with the soft muted tones color scheme they have. All of my red toile, bright yellows and buffalo check went straight to storage! I started buying every shell I could get my hands on, linen by the bolts, etc. etc. Put it this way....... If I had the money I would literally buy everything they have for sale!

When I finally get my antique mall booth going, this store will be a huge part of my inspiration, except for the linens. I plan to sell only vintage and antique.

Years ago I found a pure white peacock on ebay and fell in love with it....well my family didn't agree and didnt want the huge white bird laying around the house, so I didn't buy it.......BIG MISTAKE! They show one right in the window of their shop! And its sooooo wonderful. Take it from me readers if something speaks to you, buy it and don't look back. Enjoy......

Fabulous Antiques, Fine Art and Design Portal

I was contacted today by Bond & Bowery introducing me to their wonderful International Web Portal. I gotta say this is for the serious connoisseurs and collectors! One thing I love about the site is the easy menus and site navigation. Also simplicity comes to mind without all the gilding right up front like other Antique Portals. There is a full range of styles and periods available and all organized for you like no other portal. I gotta say im quite impressed and honoured they contact me. I would definitely recommend this portal to all Designers, Buyers, and Decorators. They even have made it easy to save items into a personal portfolio in which you can reference and review with your clients. Just lovely. I've already signed up.....

Now for the good stuff! on the site I found RUE TOULOUSE ANTIQUES. This store/showroom is right up my alley. One word... GUSTAVIAN and its over for me, let alone French! I really don't know how im ever going to have my own booth or boutique if I keep going crazy after other stores. Well at least I can say my passion is real and I will sell anything I think is beautiful even if its not comming from my store!

All photo credits are from www.ruetoulouse.com. Here is the good stuff:

I don't feel there is any need to describe the beauty in the above photos. I'm sure you agree.
