The Love of White

This summer im seeing white all over the place, and im glad! These wonderful photos are from Better Homes and Gardens online. Thank you BHG for your wonderful site and magazines with soo much inspiration. I don't know about you but for many years it seems that almost every design show i've seen on TV the designer would strongly baulk at a white room they were planning to redecorate. I would hear over and over that the problem of the space was that there was no color, which then they would go on to painting the room a strong color to rectify the problem. I would be sitting there thinking.. but what if the home owners like French Country? I've had the French Country Bug for a long time now and have always liked the light natural looking paint colors on walls with this style. So here we are.....white paint can come in soooo many colors and can give the feeling of a soft and romantic room to a more modern and minimal looking room. This can be very relaxing on the eyes and give the feeling of being in a very fresh and peaceful room. Well all need to be a little de-stressed these days.
I also love the accessories available for this look including creamware, distressed items and anything renaissance, leading to the romantic look. I'm so inspired this summer with all this white. Last summer I fell into a strange decorators block with my own home and put off many projects. I guess its time to get busy. God help my husband.....
