Outdoor Area Rugs -

What to consider when buying an outdoor area rug…Size, shape, color, woven, plastic, plain or patterned, luxury or cheap disposable are all questions you should ask yourself before deciding which outdoor area rug to purchase.

Size and Shape

Measure the dimensions where you will place the area rug with all of the furniture in position. Consider how close the edges will be to all of the furniture legs as well as the traffic pattern where the rug will go. An area rug that is placed too close to furniture can make even an outdoor room appear small and cramped.

If the rug is being placed in a heavy traffic area you will need to consider the durability of the rugs material and how well it will stay in position. Keep in mind that when having an outdoor kitchen or a grill, leave enough buffer space between the rug and the cooking area to prevent the area rug from being repeatedly soiled from food preparation and cooking. An oval or round area rug that is approximately the same size as a rectangular or square rug will appear to be smaller and may be a better overall enhancement for the space. The round edges will help to soften the appearance of the entire outdoor room.

Color and Pattern

Choosing an attractive color and pattern for your outdoor area rug is just as important as matching the color schemes of an indoor room. If the outdoor furniture is already in place or you are purchasing the furniture at the same time as your rug, you will want to coordinate the colors of the furniture cushions along with the outdoor throw pillows and lamp shades on any outdoor lighting you may purchase. Also consider the amount of foot and pet traffic the area rug may receive and what color and pattern will work best at camouflaging any soiling.

Woven or Plastic?

Outdoor area rugs are manufactured in a wide and varied range of materials. Plastic is typically not the first material that comes to mind when you are considering an indoor rug but for many situations plastic is the perfect choice for any outdoor area rug. New manufacturing methods have made plastic area rugs soft and subtle to the touch even when walking on them barefoot. The diversity and intensity of the colors in an outdoor area rug will give the space a “pop” and set your outdoor space apart from the norm.Woven or power loomed rugs can produce a flat weave area rug for a cabana beach house look or one with a low to medium pile will give a softer more elegant appearance.

Luxurious or Cheap Disposable?

There will always be an association between how much or how little you pay and the quality of the outdoor area rug you take home. But in some instances an inexpensive rug may be the smarter choice because of the situation in which it will be placed. If you need to have an area rug around an outdoor kitchen or hot tub or a heavy traffic area that will frequently be trampled on by dirty shoes, it is probably better to go with a less expensive area rug and replace it more often. Spend the most of your budget on the area rug that will be the focal point and centerpiece of your outdoor room.

Care and Maintenance

Most all outdoor woven or fabricated area rugs are manufactured with some type of manmade fibers. They are extremely durable, very stain resistant, and can easily be spot cleaned or cleaned with a brush and hose. After a heavy shower you may need to turn back the edges to speed up the drying process, but that’s about all the care they will generally need. Consider these suggestions before you buy your outdoor area rug, and you will have a much greater chance of satisfaction with your purchase.

Home Infatuation offers many options of outdoor area rugs in choices of color, patters, size and shape. You may find this and other fantastic outdoor living products when visiting www.homeinfatuation.com.

A professional interior decorator, or even designer, is someone you can hire to help you decorate and organize a room to make it more attractive, functional and up-to-date. These décor professionals can do everything from a simple consultation to a full home overhaul. Nevertheless, is it worth it Keep reading to learn the benefits and disadvantages of hiring or consulting a professional before you buy furniture. Consequently, you can routinely pick up beautiful, designer items for less money than you would ordinarily pay.

What you may save on wholesale furniture prices is probably going to cost you in consultation fees. Design feel home interior like that

When you move into a new house all you have are four walls and a lot of boxes. If it's your very first house you might not even have that many boxes; when I moved into mine all I had been some clothes, books, and a few old prints I'd collected over the years. It really felt bare and not like home at all, but over the past couple of months I've made it a place I want to come back to after a long day at work. I've found that the one thing that makes a house feel like your own home is filling it with your own things. It's not just about using accessories for decoration; it's about what the objects mean to you.

With all the design programmes on television you probably know all about feature walls, creating space with mirrors and lighting, and keeping everything in neutral colours. The trouble is, if you make your home picture-perfect and follow all these rules, it may look good but it could also feel soulless. A tidy home has a nice atmosphere but it can look clinical and cold. A house is only a home if you put your own stamp on it. That means putting your books on the shelves, putting your pictures on the walls and painting them whatever colour you like. If you're renting a house there will be restrictions as to what you can do. Painting for example is probably out of the question, and putting up more shelves might be against the rules too. Here it's more difficult to make the house feel like yours (because, ultimately, it isn't), but there are some things you can do.

Concentrate on things like soft furnishings and furniture. If you can't make any changes to the fabric of the building, concentrate on what you fill the rooms with. Pictures and framed prints are brilliant for making walls look less bare, old furniture fills a room and gives it character, and candles and incense make the room smell good and inviting. You don't have to spend a fortune on your new clutter. Avoid furniture shops and instead find older pieces. Auctions can be great for picking up things that need a bit of work, so if you don't mind some elbow grease you can find a bargain. Alternately, antique fairs and car boot sales are the best place to go. There'll be a lot more choice and you can haggle over price.

Design home interior picture

You want a new look for your home. You're pressed for time, and the idea of scheduling meetings with the interior designer feels like more than you want to take on right now. You've visited the stores, looked at hundreds of sofas. You have dozens of paint chips taped to your wall. You've moved your furniture around in every possible configuration, and something still is not right about the layout. You've talked with the design staff at the local furniture store, but don't want to be obligated to buy something in that store, just to get their design advise. You love to shop online, you network online, why not get your interior design help online?

Many homeowners are turning to the internet to engage interior design services. Instead of amassing files of clipped photos and magazine pages to share with your interior designer when you meet again in a week or two, internet links and photos can be shared instantly online. Now the design process is truly collaborative! Interior designers are finding that more and more of their client interactions have moved to emailing, and sourcing products online, so the move into virtual interior design services is a natural one for many design professionals. Which services are right for web-based interior design? Design concept - A web-based designer can work with you to develop an overall concept for your rooms. Working from your preferences, photographs, and the exchange of ideas, a virtual design board can be customized for you. A detailed shopping list is the companion to the design board so that you can shop at your own convenience, armed with information.

Furniture layout - An experienced designer can present you with a detailed layout for each room. The layout should include measurements for all furniture already in place, furniture you'll need to purchase, and source links for items needed.. The layout should be easy to understand, and address the functions of the room. Color schemes - While it seems difficult to provide color assistance via the internet, without your designer seeing the colors in your space, wonderful color schemes can be easily created for your by your virtual designer. The most successful color consultations take the homeowner's own preferences into account when selecting a final palette. A virtual design could provide you with a basic palette, with one or two alternatives, so that you can choose one that works best in your space, and feel confident that the scheme is just right.

Bedroom interior design

Of course you want the look of a designer bedroom but can you afford to hire a designer and pay more for upscale products? If you answered "no," then you are not alone. Fortunately, for those of us on a budget, great results in bedroom interior design are easy with some effort and thought. First off, you need to decide what you want to use as your bedding. The biggest element in your room most likely will be the bedding, so that's where you want to start when planning your overall design. Choose your bedding with the colors and theme of your room in mind. When shopping for bedding, however you should be a smart shopper. Why pay full price to get a designer look on your bed when you can pull together varied pieces from the discount or sale bin? Take some color swatches of your rooms colors and go shopping for complimentary items.

A variety of interesting pillows can give your bed one of those high end looks you see in the magazines. Go to a home goods or home decorating store and purchase pillows with different shapes and patterns and your key colors. Place these pillows at the head of the bed and for the designer look you want. Smart furniture shopping can save money on a central element of your bedroom interior design. Yard sales and moving sales often have like-new sets of furniture that is priced to sell: the price is low because the owner needs to get ridding of it, not because theirs anything wrong with it. A different way to get inexpensive furniture is to repaint your old set and just get new knobs. Those of us who are short on money but still want a major change should try a fresh coat of paint to give the bedroom a new look and feel. Don't be afraid to use strong hues while you choose ones that compliment the theme element. An innovative approach to your home decor is to use painting for a variety of finishes all which can be explained at your local paint supplier.

Your bedroom will look great when you find those unique accessories at tag sales, discount stores and antique markets and you will be saving money at the same time. The important thing to remember is to have a good idea in mind of what you want out of your furniture and decorative items, and be prepared to pass on even the best deals if the, it is not exactly what you want. To achieve a perfect look in your bedroom, you must plan what things are needed for it before you go shopping. Put these items down on paper, including the desired colors and sizes, and bring that with you to the store, and you'll be sure only to get the things you intended to buy. If you can picture the bedroom of your choice and know where to shop than bedroom interior design is not as hard or as costly as you might think. Never ignore a good sale if you want to save money, but don't buy items that are not necessary to the room. If you are patient and shop wisely, you can pull off a great designer look on a budget.
