the ugly DESK.

I love my space, it's finally the way I want it for my work station. As I sit blogging to you, I wonder, what will I do with this desk? I can't have college furniture forever, and I have a few options.
1. The Stickley Desk: This dark wood desk with green leather on the top and grommets is gorgeous, it's a desk I inherited from my Aunt after her passing last April. Unfortunately, it's not my taste or style and a bit too masculine. I don't want to get rid of it, as I can pass it on myself or keep it in the library I dream of. It just doesnt work for me in my space.
2. A Glass desk: I want a lucite desk. I want I want I want. It's too nice for the apartment I have now, and probably more suitable in a few years when I have a bigger apartment and far less "college" furniture.
3. The Pottery Barn Bedford collection Desk: Much better for me, but not my budget.

What do to, what to do......any ideas? HELP!

It's all clear to me.

*********************

My latest obsession is the lucite chair. It looks completly uncomfortable and my butt would really hurt trying to write a 10 page paper in it, but for looks or at my vanity when I'm putting my make up for fifteen minutes, it would be perfect.
Here's one I found in a simple google search: LUCITE CHAIR

I also am obsessed with Mirrored dressers, but they dont photograph well. I found one photograph in domino magazine, but I'm hard pressed to find another.

Another thing I really want for my home office once I establish my business is a work station I can stand up to or put up a stool against. I really need a large space to work on for my collages and room designs. For now, I'll just dream.
This one's from Pottery Barn and the whole thing costs just...$1,099.00 ($120.00*)

I'll wait.
