Among design based careers, interior design is the only one that falls under government regulation. With twenty-two states as well as the District of Columbia requiring interior designers to be licensed, education becomes even more vital. To qualify to take the National Council for Interior Design Qualification examination, you’ll need six years of combined education and experience in interior design.
